- Sensor Status Shows “Uploading 0%” in the turfRad Mobile App
If your files are not making any progress uploading, this typically suggests an issue with the WiFi connection, specifically data transfer over the network.
The most common causes and solutions are:
- You are using a hotspot that has exceeded its data limit. Check that your hotspot (standalone or mobile phone) has data available, and if using a phone hotspot, ensure that “tethering” or the hotspotting feature is allowed by your mobile provider.
- Your WiFi signal strength is weak at your location. It’s possible that the sensor can see and connect to the WiFi network, but the connection is not strong enough to send the data up. Try getting closer to the router or access point of your WiFi network.
- If your sensor was shipped before 2025, and your sensor has not been used since, it’s possible that you are experiencing a legacy certificate firmware issue (See Legacy OTA update).
