“Update servers” step fails in Wifi test while setting up sensor

  1. This is usually caused by an IT security setting on your WiFi network. Please retry the WiFi test 2-3 times, and if you continue to get this error your network settings need to be addressed.
  2. The Over the Air (OTA) firmware updates on your turfRad sensor requires that a specific port (8333) is open to pull the updates. Please check with your IT and ask them to open port 8333 or create an exception for your turfRad sensor.
  3. If you do not wish to go through your IT department, we recommend installing a standalone WiFi router with our optional WiFi router.  (find here our router solution)
