- Over the Air (OTA) Updates

We regularly push new firmware updates to the turfRad sensors over WiFi as required. Firmware is the code that runs on your device and performs all of the sensor actions. These changes may make the bootup faster, GPS more accurate, fix bugs, or add other features and capabilities to your turfRad. You typically don’t need to worry about when this happens. It will look very similar to file upload, and the “Function” button LED light will be blinking rapidly for about 5 minutes while the update downloads and installs.  

If you don’t have pending files to upload but your sensor’s “Function” button LED light is still blinking fast, your sensor may be installing an update. You can monitor the progress of OTA via the Mobile App Sensor Status screen under the OTA section.
