- Can I Move a turfRad Sensor Easily Between Vehicles?

Yes. turfRad sensors can be moved between vehicles, as long as a few setup steps are checked each time.

What You Need to Know

Each turfRad sensor is mounted using two aluminum mounting triangles (see below), which attach to the sensor backplate using the hardware provided in the sensor box.

• If you have multiple mounts:
  You can leave the mounting triangles attached to the sensor and simply move the sensor from one vehicle to another. Please make sure that power and GPS are properly connected on the new vehicle.

• If you have only one mount:
  You can move the entire mount (including the sensor) from one vehicle to another. If you’d like to move sensors (including the mount) more easily between vehicles, additional steel mounting plates can be ordered from us.

Important After Moving a Sensor

Whenever you move a sensor to a new vehicle, always:

• Confirm power is connected correctly
• Verify GPS reception
• Ensure the sensor is mounted at the recommended height and angle

Once those checks are complete, you’re ready to scan.
