- turfRad Not Powering On or Blowing Fuses

If your turfRad does not turn on after connecting it to power, or if you notice fuses blowing in either the direct wiring kit fuse holder or your auxiliary power fuse, follow the steps below.

1. Check for a Faulty Power Cable

A blown fuse is most commonly caused by a short circuit in the turfRad power cable. This can prevent the device from powering on and may repeatedly trip fuses.

2. Test With a Different Power Cable

If you have access to another turfRad power cable, try swapping it with the one connected to the sensor experiencing issues.

  • If the turfRad powers on normally with the second cable, the original cable is likely faulty.

3. Test the Cable With a Multimeter (Optional)

If you have a multimeter, you can check the power cable for a short circuit:

  • Set the multimeter to continuity or "beep" mode.

  • Test the cable leads.

  • If the device beeps when it shouldn’t, this indicates a short in the cable.

4. Request a Replacement Cable

If your power cable is faulty or you continue experiencing blown fuses, please contact Support to request a replacement power cable.
